“….Allah will increase several level to whom has knowledge. Allah is the Most Knowing what you do.” (QS Al-Mujadilah 11)
“A person who suffers a path for acquiring knowledge, then Allah will simplify for him the path to heaven.” (Bukhari)
But, the knowledge must be taken a responsibility. It is an obligatory for a knowledgeable person to apply it, teach it willingly, and not to hide it so as to the people make profits and apply it, too.
Rasulullah s.a.w stated, “Whoever is asked about a knowledge but he hides it (he won’t answer), then in the hereafter he will be whipped with a whip from the hellfire.” (Abu Dawood & Turmudhi)
‘Knowledge also demands good deeds. Talking with it is better than with words. The poor person is he who loses his age because the knowledge he acquired is not applied. He will loss in the hereafter whereas he has much burdens he must respnsible.’ (Ibn Al Jauzy)
Besides, among the problems of Muslims recent days, we must extra-careful in acquiring knowledge and to whom we learn them. Many ‘scholars’ who purposely/ intentionally twist the facts and try to interpret the Quran as they wish.
It means that in understanding problems about Islamic matters, as well as from the Quran, Tafsirs (interpretatives), Hadiths, Fiqh or else. It is best to learn from the scholar who has a good commitment to Islam and every Muslim who doesn’t lie toward the religion.
Of course, in this case, we must keep noticing the boundaries which found in the Quran and Sunnah, also ijma’ of earlier scholar (salaf). “Prophets didn’t pass down dinar and dirham, but knowledge. Whoever gets it, indeed, he has got much share.” (Abu Dawood & Turmudhi)
