The power of love is amazing, indeed. Someone who falls in love will get a willing to sacrifice everything for his beloved one. Love makes everything beautiful, although it has to be passed with suffer.
Those sort of power had made Bilal ibn Rabah preferred to choose to be dried in the sun that was very hot, rather than reverted to kafir. While he was oppressed with a big chunk of stone until almost crushed his chest.
He tranquilly recited his Beloved name, ‘Ahad, Ahad, Ahad’. So did Abd al-Rahman ibn ‘Auf, a rich merchant and the companion of Muhammad Rasulullah. He had been willingly using up his treasure for the sake of jihaad on the path of Allah. Everything was based on love.
Other companions also felt how amazing the power of love was. They willingly moved (hegira) on foot along miles away, crossed dry and hot deserts for the sake of saving their aqida. Because of their love to Allah, they bravely went straight to the battle in a hurry.
They fearlessly bet their treasures, bloods and souls with swords and lances to prove their pure love. Love produces sacrifice and priority.
If we really love Allah, then we will sacrifice everything with the best one. If we do love Allah, then we will take this world in a sufficient.
The world is not the direction. Seeking a wealth is not for fame, but an instrument of worship. If we do love Allah, then we will go straight to masjid when athan is recited, as the essence of athan is a calling from The Beloved.
If we do love Allah, then we will do any good deeds of sunna, as they will summon Allah’s love. And if we love Allah, we will certainly wake up every one third of night to do tahajud prayer, even though the weary, sleepy and cold attack. Then, indeed, Allah comes visiting and fulfilling any of our prayer.
Worship without love will feel hard and useless. It is the sign of hypocrisy. With love, we can understand the place we head for after the death, whether paradise or hellfire.
The paradise is the most beautiful gift we will receive at the first meeting with Allah.
Say: “If you do love Allah, Follow me: Allah will love you and forgive you your sins, for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”(QS Ali Imran 31)
